Owner's Representation
We Protect the Owner's Investment and Your Project Schedule.
As an Owner’s Representative, your priority is protecting the client’s vision, budget, and timeline. Technology is often the most complex and poorly documented system in luxury homes. MTA provides independent technology planning, true apples-to-apples bid evaluation, and project oversight. We eliminate the guesswork and technical headaches, so you can manage the project confidently without having to be a technology expert.

SELECT
Match the dealer's capabilities to install and support the systems on schedule.
CLEAR TECHNOLOGY PLANS PREVENT COSTLY SURPRISES AND PROTECT THE OWNER’S BEST INTERESTS.
Before a system is designed, priced, or installed, we first identify what the home actually needs.
Before a system is designed, priced, or installed, we help you identify exactly what the property requires. We don’t sell products—we deliver clarity, accurate budgets, and peace of mind for you and your client.
Questions we consider:
- How comfortable is the client with technology?
- Do they want simple operation or more advanced features?
- Do they entertain often?
- Should the system be designed for guests, family, staff, or all of the above?
Why it matters:
A great system is not just about capability. It has to fit the way the client actually lives.
Questions we consider:
- What areas of the home or property need to be seen?
- Are cameras for convenience, security, or identification?
- Should the system distinguish between people, cars, animals, and family members?
Why it matters:
Camera placement, quality, recording, and alerts all change depending on whether the goal is convenience, evidence, deterrence, or active security.
Questions we consider:
- Is the client a casual listener or serious music listener?
- Which rooms need music?
- Is sound quality or appearance of speakers more important? Or both?
- Where will movies, sports, and events be watched?
- Should equipment be hidden, centralized, or located near the TV?
Why it matters:
A background music system, a serious listening room, an outdoor entertainment system, and a theater all require different design decisions.
Questions we consider:
- Is security basic, important, or very important?
- Are there registered valuables or other risk factors?
- Should detection happen before someone reaches the house?
- Does the client arm the security system during the day or just at night and when away?
- Are panic buttons, leak detection, gas detection, or door-lock status important?
Why it matters:
There are many levels of security protection. A security system for insurance is very different from a system designed for a high-risk client, valuable property, or proactive protection.
Questions we consider:
- Is one internet provider enough, or is backup internet needed?
- Does the client need strong Wi-Fi inside only, or outside as well?
- Is cybersecurity for their network important?
- Are there rooms where video conferencing must work perfectly?
Why it matters:
A weak network can make even expensive technology feel unreliable. The network has to be designed for the systems that depend on it.
Questions we consider:
- Has the client used lighting control or automation system before? If so, which one(s)?
- Should lights create a lived-in look while the client is away?
- Should lights react if the security system is breached?
- Should “All Off” control the whole home or just main areas?
Why it matters:
Lighting control can make the home easier to live in, safer, more elegant, and more secure — but only if it is planned around real use.
These are examples of what we consider during our discovery process.
We match the project to a dealer with the right capabilities.
Detailed Plans. Accurate Bids. Clear Expectations.
As an Owner’s Representative, your biggest risks in luxury tech are undefined scopes, inflated change orders, and finger-pointing among trades. We eliminate these risks by providing comprehensive technology documentation. We give you the technical clarity needed to demand true “apples-to-apples” bids, hold dealers accountable, and ensure seamless execution without sudden budget overruns.
Avoid Problems
- Weak Network – When it isn’t bulletproof, everything suffers. We engineer enterprise-grade foundations so your client never complains about connectivity.
- Intermittent Issues – The hardest problems to diagnose, especially after move-in. Proper upfront planning prevents the late-stage callbacks that reflect poorly on the entire project management team.

“I have worked with Bill Maronet since 1988 on sophisticated technology both for my home and for the Kravis center. Bill has consistently demonstrated the ability to provide a level of technical support the like of which I have never experienced. I would recommend Bill for any technology that requires professional design and support”
